  is a Nonprofit Resource Center dedicated to nonprofit capacity building who support the hardworking folks in nonprofit and community based organizations who are on the front lines of community change. By hosting group trainings, one-on-one Technical Assistance sessions and sharing resources, TWC helps local nonprofits and community based organizations build the skills and capacity needed to serve their communities. TWC also places AmeriCorps members at partner "Host Sites" giving members a chance to grow professionally while providing needed human resources at local agencies.

HHS announces $224 million to support evidence-based home visiting programs
to help parents and children

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced $224 million to help at-risk families voluntarily receive home visits from nurses and social workers to improve maternal and child health, child development, school readiness, economic self-sufficiency, and child abuse prevention.  As part of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program, these grants are funded by the Affordable Care Act and are awarded to state agencies that applied for the grants in 49 states across the country.

      Awards $10.7 Million to Nonprofits:

 

Nonprofit organizations serving youth, seniors, and the homeless in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming are among the recipients of $10.7 million in grants announced this week by the Daniels Fund.

“These nonprofits are highly effective at providing vital services to the most vulnerable members of our communities,” said Linda Childears, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund.  “And as a result of their incredible work, our communities become better places to live,” she added.
