The Sierra Health Council & Sierra Vista Hospital formed a partnership last October to complete a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). We want to send a heartfelt thanks to all of our residents who have taken the time to participate in the forums offered since January! The final forums are being held next week. While this may be your Last Chance to attend a forum and share your ideas, it is not over.....this marks the beginning of us all creating a healthier Sierra County!

Internal Revenue Code Sec. 501(r), requires health care organizations that are tax-exempt to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years and develop an implementation strategy (IS) for meeting those needs. To provide preliminary guidance on the requirements, the IRS published Notice 2011-52 (pgs. 9-25).
